Ashley, a seasoned property professional with a wealth of knowledge across the North West Property and Construction market. Ashley’s passions is to create affordable homes across the North West of England utilising modern methods of construction, particularly modular. If you have an interest in Modular Construction or Social/Affordable housing. Ashley started his career working on site for a local building company where he picked up his first insight into the fantastic world of construction and property development. As Ashley left school and went to college he quickly found a job within the Consultancy and Development world working upon some of Manchesters most iconic projects including the ‘Our Town Hall’ project. Ashley’s skillset lies in Residential New Build and Refurbishment, particularly in the Affordable and Social Housing Sector.
Karen has worked in financial services for over 20 years and most recently was an executive of Shawbrook Bank, as Managing Director of the Commercial Property Division. Karen has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of property lending. Her focus and drive are very much committed to defining and designing better products and processes that better serve the needs of property professionals looking to develop, refurbish or invest into residential or commercial property.
Luke has always had a keen interest in real estate, having started his career at a national property company in acquisitions and disposals of commercial assets. Luke then moved to a regional company as a development consultant advising on mixed use and residential schemes of value up to £12m GDV.
Luke’s most recent role prior to joining the Sillence Hurn team was acting as acquisitions Director for a privately funded property developer undertaking conversion and new building schemes. Luke’s network across the property industry is invaluable to us and our clients. His approach over the last decade in the industry is one full of assisting and helping others. His knowledge and experience help ensure our clients get the best results.
Paul Higgs is a Chartered planning and development surveyor, land specialist & developer with 30+ years’ experience in the sector, a soon to be published author and a successful entrepreneur (still, after coming-back from a severe RBS kicking in 2008!). Throughout his career Paul Higgs has purchased, gained planning permission for and built over 6,000 residential units and 2.5M sq/ft of commercial space. 14 years ago Paul Higgs formed what is now a multi-million pound property development company, Millbank Group, and in 2013 won The Evening Standard New Homes Award for ‘Best Apartment’.Paul Higgs also lectures in advanced development valuations at South Bank University.
Been involved in land acquisition, planning, design, construction and development since 1976.
Experienced in all aspects of the residential market from single to multi-unit developments, concept to completion. Im currently working with a number of landowners, funders and other developers maximising value whilst minimising risk. My experience has been gained through the many mistakes made and successes achieved since the 1950’s when my father started in the construction and development business.
