Guest Speaker Steven Lang- Property Trends

Currently spending a lot more time leading the real estate industry’s research into the Life Science and Digital Health sectors – a sector that I have been analysing for over 18 years. Steven is also a member of Savills Tech & Innovation team tasked with identifying new trends for the entire real estate sector, for all clients. Other areas include Worldwide Occupier Services team support; Corporate Research; UK Offices; investment markets; economics; forecasting and highlighting any trend that will impact the real estate sector in a big way – including blockchain/DLT/tokenisation.

Steven joined Savills, within the UK commercial research department, in 2002. Day-to-day, Steven is dealing with all aspects of Research & Consultancy for the commercial real estate markets with queries coming from across the globe as well as running a team of three analysts. Steven has completed a wide variety of data and research consultancy projects, in all real estate sectors, but primarily offices, globally, for investors, developers, owners and occupiers. Steven frequently presents to internal teams, external clients as well at large industry seminars/conferences.

Steven will look at analysis from our survey from the lockdown period, in terms of attitudes towards the office. He will also cover a couple of growth sectors to include the explosion in life science interest. He will cover the importance of mobility trends.
