Matt Baker

Co-founder of both Scott Baker Properties and The HMO Platform, Matt is a specialist in Next Level HMO® and co-living developments. He is recognised in the property industry as one of the country’s leading HMO developers and was the UK’s first co-living educator.

Starting life as a musician, Matt has always had a creative side, composing and performing as a pianist in numerous collaborations. He also grew and sold a successful musical education business. Matt aims to create meaningful relationships within his property development and training businesses.

His customer-first approach led to the successful creation of a £5 million property portfolio in his first four years of investment, using mostly investor finance.

Matt’s wider vision is to have a positive impact on shared-living communities across the globe, to create lifelong peace of mind and well-being for both tenant and landlord.

About our Development Panel:

Gavin Sherman

After qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor and running a property investment/development agency for a decade, Gavin focused his attention on developing houses in North West London, culminating in the creation of Linea Homes in 2011. A specialist in the technical aspects of land acquisition, as well as design and project management.

 

Nathan King

Nathan is a well known Commercial and Development Agent based in South London he’s successfully transacted on over 80 commercial deals selling various commercial assets for his clients. He also has a passion for helping others in the property industry and has been involved in a number mentoring schemes.

Saam Lowni

Saam has a rounded view of the market gained from 20 years’ experience. His knowledge spans residential and commercial property development, sales, lettings, management and finance.

Saam gained broad experience working with boutique property agencies and national chains alike. He possesses international exposure through working with developers in London, Spain and the Middle East, and continues to build his own portfolio across London, the South East, West Midlands and the North East.

Most recently Saam has been a founding member of a Property Finance Provider which grew its fund from £0 to £300m and on course to fund 1000 homes across the UK.

Stuart Wyeth

With over 20 years of experience in the property industry, Stuart embarked on his journey in 2001. From his early days in loft design and sales, Stuart quickly ventured into project management, fuelling his passion for creating exceptional spaces.

In 2013, Stuart’s vision materialised into Sky Lofts, a flourishing business that has achieved a remarkable £4 million turnover .

Leveraging his expertise, Stuart expanded his horizons in 2020, launching SW Homes which has been steadily and significantly scaling up its sites, laying the foundation for a promising future.
